The Third International Symposium on Extreme Value Analysis will be hosted by the Department of Mathematics, University of Aveiro July  2004. The first Symposium was organized in Gothenburg in 1998 and the second in Leuven in 2001. As in the previous meetings, the 2004 conference will schedule review papers as well as original research on all aspects of extreme value theory and its applications in science, engineering, economics, etc. The programme consists of contributed and poster sessions. Contributions with detailed case studies are especially welcome
